AXIOS!

On Monday, April 29/May 12, 2008, Archbishop Hilarion of Sydney, Australia and New Zealand was elected First Hierarch of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia by the Bishop's Sobor at Synod Headquarters in New York City. His election is subject to the acceptance of His All Holiness Patriarch Alexei II of Moscow and All Russia and His Sobor in Russia.
The parish of St. Xenia's jofully wishes His Eminence many years!
Welcome to Our Parish!

One thing I have desired of the Lord, that I shall seek; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and inquire in his Holy Temple. (Psalm 27:4)

The parish of St. Xenia Orthodox Church began nearly 20 years ago with a small group of people who wished to celebrate Traditional Orthodoxy in the English language native to North America. Our church building was completed and Divine Services began to be celebrated in Methuen in 1996 through the struggles and prayers of the faithful after years of using makeshift rented facilities.
St. Xenia’s is a parish of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia. While adhering to Russian Church Tradition, it is a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural parish reflective of the ethno-cultural mix of the tri-state area that we serve. Parish members and communicants come from many different locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Southern Maine.
St. Xenia’s is a vibrant, growing parish with many families and children young and old. This web site might give you some glimpse of our parish life, but we encourage your personal visit to truly experience Holy Orthodoxy and our community.
